Before applying, please read the following carefully:
Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) / ESA Disclosure Requirement
Parkway Christian Academy participates in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) / Education Savings Account (ESA) program as permitted by law. Because funding amounts may vary by student and eligibility category, families are required to disclose their approved funding amount to the school.
Parents/guardians participating in the TEFA/ESA program must:
- Provide written documentation of their approved funding amount prior to enrollment or re-enrollment.
- Notify the school immediately of any changes to their funding status or award amount.
- Understand that the school does not receive this information directly from the state or administering organization.
Failure to disclose accurate funding information may result in:
- Delayed enrollment or withdrawal of enrollment,
- Inability to properly apply funds,
- Financial responsibility for any uncovered tuition or fees, and/or
- Termination of enrollment if misrepresentation is determined.
TEFA/ESA funds are applied only to approved tuition and fees. Any portion of tuition or fees not covered by the student’s awarded funding remains the responsibility of the family.
Parkway Christian Academy reserves the right to audit family-provided TEFA/ESA documentation for accuracy and completeness.
TEFA / ESA Funding Disclosure & Financial Responsibility
Families who participate in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) / ESA program acknowledge and agree to the following:
- The family is solely responsible for disclosing the exact funding amount awarded to their child under the TEFA/ESA program.
- Parkway Christian Academy does not receive funding award amounts directly from the State of Texas or its administering vendor.
- Any tuition or fees (lunch, field trip, Early Morning Care and After School Care, fundraisers, parties, etc.) not covered by TEFA/ESA funds are the responsibility of the parent/guardian. Enrollment fees are not covered by TEFA/ESA and are nonrefundable.
- The family must pay all fees and tuition by the due date and then seek reimbursement from TEFA once funded.
- The family will not be eligible for any other scholarships or discounts.
- Failure to disclose funding amounts, delays in disclosure, or misrepresentation of funding information may result in:
- Suspension of enrollment,
- Rebilling of tuition and fees,
- Withholding of records, and/or
- Dismissal from the school.
Participation in the TEFA/ESA program does not alter Parkway Christian Academy’s admissions standards, academic expectations, policies, or procedures.
