Important Information About TEFA (Please Read)
The Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) is about to enter its second year, and we have gained valuable experience navigating the program beginning the 2026/27 school year. We have updated these pages to provide families with the information we currently know regarding TEFA eligibility, funding, enrollment and the use of TEFA funds.
While the program is now more established, TEFA is administered by the State of Texas and certain procedures, deadlines and requirements may still be updated by the Texas Education Agency. We will continue to communicate important changes to families as information becomes available.
Please remember that TEFA funding is awarded and administered by the state, not by our school. Eligibility, award amounts and continued participation are determined according to state requirements. Our school is committed to helping families with the process and providing accurate information to the best of our ability.
Don’t assume you won’t qualify – apply!
During the 2026/27 school year, 34% of eligible Parkway Christian Academy students have received a TEFA award. While we don’t know how many eligible families applied, this level of participation is very encouraging. If you think your family may qualify, we strongly encourage you to apply. You may be surprised to find that your student is eligible to receive TEFA funding.
